Casa Magda was purchased in Fall 2019 and renovations were completed in Summer 2021 by owner Tiffany Jen, a graphic and motion designer living and working in New York City. While life in the city can take its toll on all its inhabitants, Tiffany was no exception. She has always loved traveling, hiking, and camping, and the opportunity to make a life in the Catskills seemed a perfect balance between city dweller and nature enthusiast. The search for a quiet and secluded place took over a year before Tiffany found this gem tucked away on a private road on top of a hill.

The house was built by the original family in the 80s. Although the family imbued the space with great energy, the house needed new life. Tiffany wanted to preserve the house’s history and its unique structure as much as possible, so her designs focus on highlighting existing features. Tiffany’s personality and passion as a designer and her father’s influence as an Architect permeate to each corner of the house. In short, Casa Magda bridges the gap between two generations that allow minimalist sensibility, mid-century treasures, and a playful collection of vintage furniture to coexist.
